alright soo i have my 96 civic ek and its gonna need a automatic motor swap
i dont need bs about 5spd im doing auto swap and thats final soo i need to find out what is the bestswap to put into my ek that will have anautomatic transmission /tiptronic .. cant drive standard and i also need help with i have acouple partts to get painted bumper,mirrors,spoiler, and i needsomeone with experience todo the job not to pricey either thanks .. msg asap please

it is an automatic ek with d16y7 on 318km soo its gonna need to be replaced
looking for a dohc automatic to go in i have been hearing about the auto ls vtec motor dont know how much they go for cause i dont know tthe engine model (example b16 k20)

H22A engine and tranny from a 97-01 Prelude. Anything is possible. What are your goals and what are you doing with this car? More importantly, what is your budget?

I would think the simplest and cheapest solution would be a D16Y8 engine and tranny from a 96-00 Civic Si or Acura EL or the auto B series like mentioned above. A few simple boltons might get some extra power, but I think for your budget, a powerful, auto tranny equipped car isnt very possible. I dont believe there are many auto tranny Honda engines that would work.

i dont need to spquak tires everywhere just enough power to get off the launch ....ur also telling me theres noway to make a very fast auto civic worst case senerio 10g what could i do to go stupid fast with auto all i really need to know is a list of all honda motors i can put in my ek that will include auto tranny please and thank u guys

i dont know i just really need dohc motor cant deal with my single cam no more v-tech should do something even in auto tranny well probibly will have to tweak ecu cause my d16 shifts 1st 3000RPM 2nd 3500RPM 3rd 4000RPM 4th allmost 5000RPM blah talk about stupid rpms lol if i tweak it it should be able to engage v-tech .. soo its either the h22 or the ls wich one is better out of those two h22 = alot of weight .. thats what ive heard
whats the diffrence in the two motors specs wise how much tq and hp..

my first thought was to throw in a k20 auto but started to hear tranny wont fit then other people say it will but hondata doesnt make a kpro ecu for auto these people give run arounds id really rather but a k20 auto also is total jdm can be trusted..? people on youtube say no cause they bought motors from jdm corp. and its knocking ...

Pretty sure if you go auto in a ek you need to fabracate the rear tranny mount.
