Angry My worst nightmare

So I am getting ready to go to work and i take the elevator down to the parking garage in my apt. building where you need a key or pass card to get in and what do i find? My worst nightmare come to life, some ******** stole the rims off my car!!! The f***kers had my car jacked (with my jack!) on one side and the passenger side was resting on my winter tires. It seems they used a crow bar to pry the doors open to the garage, pried open the drivers side window, popped the hood and disconnected the battery. They probably took their time taking my wheels off! I even had 2 sets of wheel locks on the rims (Honda oem and off the shelf crappy tire set). I had a set of 17X7 5Zigen Inperio S-8s mounted on Yokohoma Paradas. The insurance is paying me out but i dont want to get another set of rims cause they may just come and steal them again! Is there anything other than wheel locks that i can use to secure the rims? This really sucks, at least the damage was minimal, and i get new side skirts and they are painting my hood and bumper where i found a **** load of scratches. It looks like the placed the wheel on the hood and dragged it off. Now i just want to get rid of my stuff and stick with a bone stock car. Anyone wanna buy a 5zigen fireball muffler, or how about the car, its a 2000 Civic SiR with 40K on it.

No video in your building? You should go down and kick the security guard in the teeth. I always had this fear when I lived in an apartment. Sorry to hear that. Were your rims white or silver?

There is a video camera but it doesnt point at the door they broke in with. There is also no video in the parking garage. As for the rims they were silver.

What about the kick to the teeth????

If the security guard is a young guy it might have been an inside job...

I dont know if it was an inside job, a side door to the apt building was pried open with a crow bar as was the door to the garage. I want to get new wheels but i want to protect them. Can i get a good set of wheel locks? Are there some that are better than others?

Hate to say it but 5 minutes alone with any wheel locks and my special "discontinued" ROBO grip and there off...

Not much you can do..

Make sure you yell at the building management, and the security company too...

******* lazy security guards...

No offence to Overkill Si...

The police did come by and the checked for fingerprints, took a bunch of pics and told me the rims are probably in Montreal or Toronto and may even be on the next ship to eastern europe. The detectives talked to people (super, guard etc) but nothing came of it.
On another note, if i got a pager alarm will i be able to get a signal to the 18th floor from the basement? I am sure these things use RF signals, but i am not sure what frequency so i cant be sure if it will be worth it for me. Does anyone know how good the range is?

My car was done in an underground garage and I am positive it was an inside job. I don't think the pager will go through that much concrete.

Do you guys know where i might get one in TO. I may be able to get an outdoor spot for the summer and switch into the underground (when the rims come off) in the winter.

RPN Auto Sound...905 795 1991......They are my friends......but the "NEW" Compustar is not out yet (could be wrong) It looks like this.....

http://www.compustar.org/products/2WSS.html (pic. of the remote, pretty close to actual size)

And yes, it will probably work from the garage.....it will definently work if it is parked outside.
