My ssiter needs to buy a car

Hey guys just wanted to post an find out some info,

my sister rides her bike in the summer and has been driving my parents cars, she has finally decided to get a car and a friend of a friend is sling a car and i was wondering if it was reasonable and all and what price range was good for this model make etxc

she would need to change the tires though they have 17" on them

anyways its

1997 Si Coupe
asking $6999, negotiable.
208,000 and going but no power train issues ever

5-Speed, Power Locks, Windows, Sun roof, Avitel alarm that controls door locks, Pioneer CD face off deck with remote control, Custom chrome gauge plate, shift **** and parking brake handle. 17’ Quantum Tech S10 Rims, winter tires and original hub caps incl., custom exhaust system, K&N cool air intake system, rust proofed yearly. 209,000 km, diligently maintained. Emissions tested and passed paperwork completed.
This car is in great condition, a must see.

sounds nice, but i'd play the "negotiable" side of the price first

if the car has all maintenance records, is clean and rust free, and if the motor is still good after all that mileage...and on top of that..if you sis likes it.....it doesnt make alot of sense to go lowballing.

having said that...summer is not just around the corner, so u guys can still do some searching but if she is ready...cash in hand etc...it sounds like a good buy. $5500-$6000 roughly imo.

make sure the rocker panels are clean... run a compression on the motor....

get the car inspected by a mechanic you know for years and can trust...

if all goes well... 5000 w/o the rims... or 5500 with the rims...

wayyy too much i didnt even pay that much for my 98 and it has alot less kms then that one, but if you like make sure you get a mechanic you trust to look it over and point out things wrong that you might not be able to see

A little pricey....but just check around the auto trader weekly and become familiar with the average price and compare them alll....then make your desicion

On hwy 2 west of brock rd. (Ajax/Pickering) on the south side there are a couple going for $4000.00 more or less... i pass them everyday...
and this is from a used car dealer... you'd at least find 1 for around 5000 with decent km's on it....

It's probably worth the drive
