EK is 5th gen your right
EF is 4th, which is mine, TYPO! im glad your all so alert
i would lower it cept i have a messed up driveway, which would mess my underbody, and i have a good deal with SF for insur, and im pretty sure they wouldnt cover me if they knew, or if i needed their help.
rims..yes if i can get some CHEAP nice ones, great, i dont have lots of money, and the money i do have is going into bodywork/new paint, i know it looks ok, but there is some rust, and the hood paint job is BAD.
any other ideas? suggestion for altezza's or JDM tail lights?
im thinking of getting ultra-white driving lights from crappy tire, anyone else have them? they are 55w and "seem" nice

For lights, Silverstar from Osram or Sylvania...
For tails, stock ones... just polish them using 1500 grit paper and wet sanding, then 3M plastic polish or JDM if you must
For rims, any stock newer gen OEM rims, like Hammerhead, or the SE rims look great on the EF.
Lowering will not affect insurance rates... if anything happens to the car, they WILL total it, and you are SOL for any money you put in.
That being said, a H&R OE spring, or even a sport will not lower you enough to cause concerns no matter how your driveway is... you just have to learn to drive a lowered (NOTE: NOT SLAMMED) car.
Shocks are key, invest in good ones.
Altogehter, for $3000 not including body work, your car could be a front runner. $300 rims no tires, $600-800 tires, $500 shox, $350 springs, $250 bushings + $200 install of bushings, $300 seats, $200 new carpet, $200 ball joints, $100 tie rods... and a slight brake upgrade... I wasn't counting, but that should be about $3K. You can buy cheaper tires, but what's the point.
Dave, couple of weeks, we'll go mosh... the JSK party is bbarbulo approved
EF- 88-91 4th gen
EG/EH- 92-95 5th
EK/EJ- 96-00 6th
EP/EM- 01+ 7th
