My Civic Got Stolen

1 Attachment(s)
I have only had my car for about 2 months it is a 1999 Honda Civic. I woke up to drive to work this morning and my car was gone!! A couple hours later the car was found jacked up with the rims and tires gone and my in-dash DVD gone!! The rims and tires and car deck didn't even last 2 weeks in my car. I am just putting this out there to be aware of people selling stolen merchandise. It really sucks for me right now. This was my first car so it was a serious blow. Missing from the car is a JVC KW-AVX720 double-din car deck and 17" XXR Rims Black with Chrome Lips. I know there is minimal chance of finding these things but I still have to try. I really love my Civic.

Sorry to read about that. :(

Surprised your alarm system didn't alert someone to what was happening. Good to read that the car was recovered, and really hope you're able to get the other missing things back.

they wont stop a thief from getting your wheels, but will slow them down, and draw more attention to someone hammering a socket onto a locking nut

gavin.p89 09-Apr-2010 04:39 PM

^^ Your right, I was just curious if he did,

stev 09-Apr-2010 08:07 PM

yeesh, that's the second one this week on this forum... might be time to pack the louisville in the trunk...

stev 09-Apr-2010 08:08 PM

btw really sorry about your loss, those were some gorgeous rims

matt491 09-Apr-2010 08:32 PM

Sorry to hear man, this is why I don't want to do a double din in dash screen.... I want a single din flip up... out of site, out of mind, if you know what I'm sayin'..

What area was it stolen from?

D.T.P 09-Apr-2010 10:59 PM

That really sucks.
It may turn up on some fs section.
Arg hate thieves.

Thanks for the support. (I'm a female lol)It was taken from the Keele/Wilson area. The rims did have lock nuts but that didn't stop them from getting it. There was an alarm on the car from the previous owner but not the pager type. I'm glad the car was found but the pretty much destroyed the whole dash and quite possibly screwed up the underbody because it was just laying on the body. It really sucks to put money into something and then just have it ripped away.

that blows, sorry to hear. I live and work in the area, and just in my parking alot alone stolen cars are stolen and parked @ the dufferin and wilson home depot. its starting to get scarce up here in terms of car theft

EG6666 14-Apr-2010 09:06 PM

get the 2way pager alarm +tilt sensor.

lets_ride 14-Apr-2010 09:25 PM

oh wow..sorry to hear that
im a kijiji addict LOL...im on that site like every other day
i'll make sure to look up those rims and jvc deck...
i jus recently bought my car too..and honestly civics are the most stolen cars in Ontario...so i got myself a two way pager with tilt sensor...but that only slows ppl down,
any news from the insurance company, are they going to do any reimbursement?

JDM-KID 14-Apr-2010 09:46 PM

sorry to hear that, and thats another reason I want to buy a steering wheel release and lock.
