I'm actually part chinese and I don't do that crap ever! These real fob like people should go back home IMO.

And exactly like Boostd said... the guy was pretty much telling me that it's my fault and I wasn't driving properly, meanwhile, his wife was cussing at me in Chinese. (and it sounds like yip yip yip).

Moe_Mentum: That's what I was most afraid off. My insurance going up. But people tell me, how the hell would they know what your insurance company is or anything. They'd never find out.

For an accident like that you don't want to go anywhere near insurance. First off, it doesn't sound like it would have been entirely the other cars fault because you were changing lanes when it happened, from what I understood. You don't want your insurance company to know about accidents in general, they might get the wrong impression of you and all of a sudden you've got an extra grand to pay out every year. Just this accident alone probably wouldn't have jumped your rates but I wouldn't even consider calling insurance until the damage was over $2000.

I'd never pay up. Unless I was doing something illegal or had something illegal in my car. Even still, I'd pull out the $100 cash and slap them in the face with it. I'm chinese too and I know how greedy some fobs are. Especially older ones. Besides, that bitch should have just shut up and let you and the other driver talk it out. Hearing stuff like this pisses me off.

Well.. you know what.. I feel sorry for them. For older fobs to start saying that they did nothing wrong and make a 20 year old pay $100.. they must not have made it very well in life.

No one knows what they'd do until it actually happens to them. I let someone go after backing into me at an intersection. There was very slight damage, but I still let him go after just an apology and a handshake. I was on my way to work and felt the minimal damage was not worth being late. I think the initial surprise of the accident was also a big influence. I wasn't expecting someone to back into me while waiting for a light to change... first thing in the morning. However, I wouldn't have paid him cash out of my pocket when I know damn well that it wasn't my fault.

Funny last week, I got hit by a truck on 401 west bound passing Yorkdale. This Indian driver was trying to make a lane change to the left, and we were all in a stop-n-go afterwork traffic jam. I then saw this truck head getting bigger and bigger. I said to myself, man isn't him gonna stop?

Then BOOM! He struck me on the back. The force felt big but it was like 1 or 2 km force. I got out, looked at the car and was like.... where the hell did you get your license?

The guy was like, you ok? ok ok ok ok ok ok ok? good good good good good???

I nearly burst to laughter. Guy could barely speak a word of English so I let them go. Ya it felt bad cause my car was hit but the bumper was meant to take minor damage so it did the job.

Funny thing is I saw the truck again after I got off the highway.

So the moral of the story is, **** happens. Being a Chinese, I feel sorry for that couple, yelling at people for nothing. But I do believe it is their fault as they made a improper lane change. That yellow zone wasn't even a lane!

I agree with this statement, because now they could have your liscence plate number, report you as a hit and run. Claim car damage and injury. You could be in worse off shape.

Plus, they can also say what $100? You took off.

The police should have been called.
