My 2003 Civic Headlights dont work, what do i do?

So I was driving along somewhere in Ajax....and I noticed every car that was coming toward me was flashing me with there highbeams... I thought they were trying to tell me that there are cops around or something, at the same time I noticed I couldnt really see the road but thought it was normal because it was just a dark country road with no street lights. so I put my high beams on, I thought wow thats much better I can see the road now....cars kept flashing me, I guess they didnt like the fact i was using high beams..so cars dont like when my lights are off or too bright...anyways I eventually figured it out...my nighttime lights dont work!

....my high beams work....my daylight lights work....but my night lights are completely off....

is it the light bulb or something else? and where should I go how much would it be to fix this?? I dont want to go to the dealer...it will probably be 500 from them.

people will either flash u for cops being ahead, or if u have ur high beams on and they dont like it or out of courtesy to let u noe ur headlights are off or not working. those are 3 reasons i noe. OH and if ur on the high way in the fast lane and osmeone wnats to u move, theyll flash u.

i believe ur head lights are dual filament so the high beam and the low beam are in one. check the bulbs make sure theyre not both blown.

but theres a chance that it might be a wiriing problem if BNOTH ur lights are out.

Thanks CivicEJ1....yeah I think you identified the 4 main reasons someone would flash you. lol I was thinking it could be some wiring, but I dont know how to check that. I just find it strange both would go out at the same time. When I turn it on, only the orange lights will stay on but headlights are off, if I turn it off, the daylights work okay, I noticed there is a bulb behind another bulb and thats the one that is on. Hey I looked at your profile, I noticed we have the same birthday.

Could it be the headlight switch by the steering wheel?

Looks like another case of low halogen fluid. Get it topped off at CT.
