Marcel and the Mosport Weekend!!!

So this long weekend i was lucky enough to spend it at the mosport track out in bowmanville. Sunday night after all the races were said and done i met up with a gentalman named Marcel. He randomly drove around all weekend making sure everything was ok with everyone. Anyways i asked him if we were allowed to drive the track and unfortunatly he said no...... (at first). i told him that i am part of the civic club and the show team and all i really wanted to do is say i drove the track. i finally convinced him!!! a very small and reasonable going over of some very simple rules, ( i believe for liability reasons) we head out on to the track. 1 lap me leading with my escort behind me!!!! so we get part way around the track and we stop underneath the continental pedestrian bridge and i take some photos!!!

The whole reason i am writing this is for the people who have never ever drivin on a track before but love watching racing!!! even though i was told not to exceed a certain speed, i can appreciate the hard work these drivers go through!! some of the blind corners and i swear the southern part of the track is off cambered!!! are truely difficult even at low speed!!!

But man what a really cool experience!!!

Marcel i know you lurk on the website so i would like to personally thank you again publically for a really cool experience at your establishment!!! the whole weekend was great!!!

Pictures will be posted by Marty (whiplash) prolly in the media section (cause i have no clue how to do it on my own) in the next couple days!!!

^^^Thanks for sharing that. Love going to Mosport (know exactly which bridge you mean!) and certainly appreciate the difficulty of the track, just by means of watching the racers...I'm sure it doesn't even compare to driving the circuit. How great that you had firsthand experience, and that this guy was good enough to let you enjoy that.

I don't mean to threadjack but how much does it usually cost to go lapping ? I've always wanted to try my luck on a circuit.
Thanks
