That's the way I feel sometimes.

I tell someone something, and after, they still go and see if they can find a different answer.

Maybe he's in denial.

Save yourself the phone call unless you wanna pay alot of money. As for lucky star, i got my engine there and so did my brother for his mx3, they both run great, no problems whatsover. But if you buy the engine there have them install it too.

I've "heard" that it's called Lucky because....

1. lucky if you get a good motor

2. lucky if they will give you a warenty if it is a bad motor

3. lucky if they even get you the motor you want and not try to sneak you a different one when your not looking

4. lucky if and when your car gets pulled over, and the cops run the engine vin, that it doesn't come back as stolen

5. lucky if they treat you nice

6. lucky if they supply all the parts they said they would

7. lucky that they don't overcharge you for a motor

8. lucky if the install is done with the right parts, and not a hack job

I'm not saying NOT to go there, but when I hear this from more than 6 or 7 people, I'd be cautious.

You decide.

I'm sure they do good work......................when they want to, or when the price is right.

I've heard the same thing about lucky star as well.
I've even heard that they'll overcharge if you're not asian (I find the 2nd a lil hard to believe)
A guy from here was given the wrong ECU from them. not sure if he got it straightned out or not though.

As for Altech, I went there overall I had a "mixed" experience, but I'm not gonna start bashing someone on a public forum. I'd say check them out though.

The lesson I've learned is that I'm not doing any swaps ever again! Nor am I buying an older car again! (maybe I'm jus unlucky...)
