love/hate my civic

Need to vent some frustration.I wanted a civic for a while before i bought my 95 coupe. Its not overlly riced up,its clean lowered /rims and exhuast.I love driving it and the fact that its easy to work on and cheap to mod not to mention lots of fun to drive.Ill back up any honda enthusiast or any import for that matter. My problem is i am getting sick of the abuse myself and my car take from ignorant people. My car has been spit on deneted i even had my antenna twisted off and left on the ground beside it.I see old guys look at me and shake there head.what the hell is wrong with people,my car is normal looking.I cant leave it any where.cops give me dirty looks or run my plates when i havent done anything wrong.Sure i would drive around in a v8 muscle car but why its not practicle for every day use, sport compacts are todays drag cars its isnt the 60s any more.Im a lic tech at a domestic dealer and i own 3 imports if that tells you anything,in my opinion there just better.Sorry had to get it out,i got more but thats enough for now.,Any one feel the same way or have the same experience.

Dude I had some guy in a blazer last night stick 1/2 of his body out the window and started screaming at me. He was huge, and I think he was smashed (drunk). The ****** scared my girlfriend. No matter. I got his plate ## and I'm filing a complaint at the police station after work.

I did nothing to instigate any reaction by anyone as well, and I'm not one to stand and take it either.

i'm lucky i live in a smaller town so there usually like one or two cops on duty at any time... but once i got followed for about 20 mins and then the cops put on the lights.... this was 5 houses from mine... and he's telling me my exhust is rather loud... which is it if at high rpm... but its not bad below like 3000... which is all i had been doing since i noticed him speed up to get behind me... i think they are just bored with no real crimes they just follow us around cause they have nothing better to do... anyways though the cop look at my license and notices that i live 5 houses down the street and gives it back and says have a good night... walks back to his car and waits there till i parked my car got out of my car and went inside.... i looked out my front window and he's driving past my house so slow... kinda funny and good no tickets were issued

Well, even my Saturn got spit on... haters will be haters no matter what you drive. Just change where you park... like now I always pay to park in a patrolled garage.

yeah cops and ppl that think spending 50,000 on a vette makes there dicks bigger....as well as uneducated ppl hate civics...but ever car has haters.....civics are hated by some but most of the ppl hate them cause its "cool" hate them....."ohh everyone has a civic"..."they are so commom", is usually what ppl say....but there is a reaon so many ppl have them, its prolly cause they are a damn good car stock or not...so when i see cops or guys in v-6 camaro POS or some **** shake there heads i laugh cause i know they dun know ****...ahh we could all go on and on about this import vs. dometic fight.....i liek the hondas cause they are damn good.....i've had imports and domestics and i'll tell u right now when my civic was stcok...its a 94 hatch by the way....it was still smoother and handled better and was faster than a brand new focus or sunfire caelier...so....its a damn good car....i love them...and i also have a 1965 mustang....ao i come from both sides here

I don't have a problem with Civics at all. Personally for what they are it's surprising. I mean bone stock my Civic handled great and only got better as I modded it.

Only thing I dislike about Civics and Hondas in general is that they have no torque. Like 160 hp in the b16a and only 120ft-lbs, that's crap.

Well, cops need to give out tickets to fill up quotas. Just like parking patrols.

Anywho, can't complain much about Hondas. Ya there are a **** load of Civics on the street - that reveals the quality of the car. And there are also Civics that can blown vette and 911 in a 1/4 mile and all they gonna see are dusts and scratch their head wondering what just went by...

Welcome to the Modded Civic Driver's World...Its sad to see cops are more worried about an exhaust system then chasing down the rapists or murderers...Kudos to the Ontario Police Force ....
