Looking for a Philip Dominas?

Hey a buddy of mine bought a civic off here around 2 years ago. It was a red 2dr sedan 1993 with a b18b swap already done. Im trying to track down an ownership for it, and havent been able to find the person who owned it. The car is registered to a Philip Dominas and I cant get a number from anywhere. Any ideas who it could be? My buddies account name is playboy

so.. your friend bought the car 2 years ago, and never registered it?..

starboy869 22-Sep-2009 10:20 AM

You can go to the MOT get a new ownership printed out for like $10. BTW you need the VIN

Next day or even later that day go in and with a VIP filled out and signed in the back and the ownership signed (by a friend or even yourself) and ta da...... pay the fees and the car is yours.

I had to do that when I washed my ownerrship before transfer it in my name.

that would work if the car was registered to his friends name. Who drives a car for 2 years (or even buys a car) and doesnt register it under his name?

Does that mean that the guy who sold it can report it stolen and get the car back?

starboy869 22-Sep-2009 01:48 PM

he could... but I assume the insurance cheque was already paid out if it was then the insurance company would own it.

I don't see why his friend needs to own the car. I never had an issue signing the ownership in the guy name I bought it off name and transfering it over. Wrong? oh yeah. Was it worth the hassle in tracking the seller down? no

ya i have the VIN i was thinking of doing that too but starboy what do i need to get the ownership printed out just the VIN?

Clean95d16 22-Sep-2009 06:32 PM

VIN is all you need to see any info on the car, ownership and all, just even say it was a project car and you misplaced the ownership , theyll get you new **** asap :)

tfus 25-Sep-2009 09:46 PM

the problem is the ownership isnt in my name, i know who owns the car, philip dominas, i cant go into the mto with my name, and get a re-printed ownership for someone elses car...

PurpleStuff 26-Sep-2009 12:35 AM

so get an uvip? it'll tell you who owned it and when and for how long. It's 10-15$. (used vehicle info. pkg). just need the VIN.

spike 26-Sep-2009 07:44 AM

The package is $30.

tfus 27-Sep-2009 06:13 PM

the package is $12 i already have it, lol thats why i kno the car is in philip dominas name... problem is he is unlisted in every source i have looked... im just going to swear on a apidavid and be done with it

Facebook? Pure stalker central.

starboy869 28-Sep-2009 02:35 AM

All you need is the VIN and $10 in cash, debit, or credit and you can get a new ownership.

Come to think of it the girl behind the counter didn't even ask my name.
