Looking for advice on a 94 Del Sol
Hey, looking for some advice before I go and pick up this Del Sol, im hoping to make it a project car, so it wont be a daily driver. Below are pics showing the current body damage, but paint looks mint in the non rusted areas :P
-Engine and tranny are running strong, 290k though
-Hood will need to be replaced, as well as other body work: front bumber, rear quarter panel are the major areas.
can anyone recommend a place where I can get some of this body work fixed at a really good price. Im trying to weigh out the costs in repairs before I grab it, thanks in advance!!!

It will depend on the amount of work - Mike's car for custom paint and basically a new rear end to the car is around $5500! BUt for the amount of work it is an excellent price for all the new metal plus labour!
Talk to Mike, even go with him to see his hatch and talk to the guy!
He reminds me of Sylvester Stallone ha ha!

I just looked at the pictures again.. the roof is rusted out.. it is worth less then $500!..
You'll spend close to 8000g's I bet just trying to get the body done..
Delsol parts are hard to find.. so they cost alot more..
do you even know what the floor is like?.. remember that the roofs leak, so all the water pools on the floor and rot there too.
I would spend a little more (3000-4000) and buy something that doesnt need a TON of work.

1500 for that???
man the car is old , it also has plenty of damage in the body , rust everywhere.
I would not give him more than 500 and he should consider himself lucky if he even gets that much.
If he takes that car to the junkyard they may give him 50 bucks
Like everyone said , it is not worth the hassle unless you are taking a body work course in college and even then you can get better smash cars for 1500
