Looking for 17" 14.5lbs Rims for a 2007 Civic Hybrid, Where can I buy some?

I've called around but only found one place that can hook me up with the 17" 14.5lbs rims, but their way too expensive. Any idea where I can get something cool looking and not have to pay an arm and a leg?

A buddy of mine suggested ROTA, but I can't find a retailer in the GTA.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

big rims that are light will always be pricey... you have to decide if you care about size or weight... and then your price range and then go from there...

The stock wheels and tires are specific to the hybrid for less weight and drag. I wouldn't change them unless your keeping with the same tires and keeping the same weighted rims or less.

Since I really don't like the apperance of the Hybrid rims, I really want to get something better looking, but have to stick to 14.5lbs. If I don't then the increased weight will most likely give me additional drag, decreased fuel economy and might mess up my trany.

Please provide phone numbers or website when suggesting retailers.

Thank you,

you are whoring out of your bum dont you? tires23 would say a big NO on finding those OEM Honda HFP rims.

to the OP..those rims you posted are sort of rare and are very pricey as well...plus they are heavy so wont serve your purpose. what is your budget? if you really really want new rims...invest in a set of work or gram lights rims in 15"..they are steel / aluminium alloy and will be very light.

Go to wheelweights.net and look for 17" wheels' weight. I don't know what is the width of your hybrid wheel but there are a few 17x7 aftermarket wheels listed below 14.5lbs, and when you go into forge method department, expect to pay a higher premium; unless you buy used.

More over, lighter wheels are usually made for circuit racing, and they have thinner spokes which allows more air travel to cool down the brake calipers. I am not sure what this will do to your "additional drag" issue.

My take on this issue is, if you want your car to look nice and have character, Hybrid vehicle is probably not a choice of weapon. But will increase drag or weight kill your fuel or tranny, perhaps fuel but I don't think tranny will be affected whole lot. But if the vehicle is this much sensitive to all the wheel specifications, then you may as well save the trouble and spare the time.

What I would do to make the car look different is maybe paint the wheels differently to stand out a bit. Make it look like Time Attack version of the Rays Engineering wheels, or do a body colour match.

My 2 cents.
