Long wait for mods...

I am going crazy.

It is such a long wait for the mods… I mean I can do a lot with my car now, but I have to save money for the wedding at the same time, which is a bigger priority. But I have so many things I want to do with my car that I think about it day and night, but can’t do it!

Oh lord… the frustration…

wedding ...???? are you becoming domesticated??? that sucks

improve the audio with a sub and lower it with lower springs and shocks .... it'll improve the value of the car more then the cost of the parts IMO

Ya, the wedding is like in 3 years, or 4.

I got little things to fix. I am getting a new short shift which should arrive sometime this week. Then, get 2 new tires since my other 2 OEM tires are 3 years old. Then get breaks pads done before winter. And that ******* APC M3 mirrors are pissing me off dearly and I want to get them replaced, too.

The car will be close to 90000 in half year so gotta save money for tune up and timing belt.

After all these, then I think I Can upgrade my suspension. I think those are more important task to my car at the moment. (well, mirrors can wait)

Weddings are expensive Jason.

Cheap, shady tree garage mod: Hack the stock air box. Free intake.

for some people, out behind the outhouse just don't cut it..
and renting a hall is a little more expensive than just stuffing everyone into the largest house-trailer in the park

Well, for the Western tradition, I guess the Bride's family pays a huge chunk. For us Asians, it has always been the Groom's family, and it will always be.

But since we are liberal, we will pay 50/50 so I gotta save a good amount of money, somewhere above 15 to 20G... And I am almost going full throttle on saving right now....

Plus, after the wedding, if you want to get a new creep, you gotta have money. Saving is a good habbit. You never know what's gonna happen.

saving = no risk = low return

certain investments = risk = higher return

Have you ever read the book "Rich dad, Poor dad" Charles? it will tell you a thing or two about saving, it's the best book I've ever read, and it might help you with your decision...

The Wealthy Barber...

Sometimes saving is bunk... you save and live like a church-mouse, and die rich... what good is that; or you get old and realize you missed life cuz you were too busy pinchin pennies.

Leverage, on the other hand, is where it's at. Buy now, pay later LOL j/k

Ya Ed, I hear what you are saying, I believe I read about that book but not all of it at some point.

Even for investment, you still need an amount of principle to start no? I guess I am not saving forever, but at least a portion of my pay cheque get put away and then spend some I guess. That's what I have been doing so far. I was in a big debt before and my gf helped me cleared it up. Well, mainly because she told me to spent less and have a plan so I see where the money is going.

And obviously, a portion of it goes into my car.

ya, but if you read the book it'll "inspire" you.. he gives the 101 on investing and "taking risks" although if you really think about (after reading the book) they're not really HUGE risks, and he turned it into a fortune... I dunno, like what Bruno was saying, you save up for all this stuff, and then u die rich, or you die leaving all your wealth to someone else...

I'm not saying DON'T save, cuz ya, you have to sometimes, but when you're investments turn around and make money for you, well, then that's when you know you're set.... but I won't tell you what to do, b/c I'm not "there" yet, when I make my first million I'll give you advice

lol hopefully that'll be sooner than later

No, let someone else's money work for you.... borrow Banks get say 6-7% guaranteed, while you take that money and make a 20% return with some risk. Well, it depends on how you are. I know how to do it, but sometimes I get lazy LOL There are two ways to make money... large margins or large volume. Volume is always a safer bet... look at how WalMart's done... low profit margin, high volume. The Bay had issues cuz they jack the margin, but no one wants to buy there

Ya, I find Bay's stuff pricy, since like... 10 years ago lol. But I rarely shop anyway.

I just had another thought, to clear out my debts first then invest my money. I want to get my OSAP out of the way asap...
