lightest 14 inch rims honda makes
Hey guys well i tried to get VX rims on my 93 SI and that failed so i gotta find a nice light wieght 14 i dont wanna go after market i kinda wanna keep the alround honda look can anyone fill me in on the 411 about the lightest 14' honda rim(4x100)

the calipers hit and rub never really thought i'd have a problem till i tryed to get them on

well i have a whole bunch of 14" rims
i think the lightest are my 90 - 91 5 star crx rims. they are pretty light not sure on weight but they are light.
i also have the 90 - 93 integra 6 spoke rims. they are a lil heavier because they are a lil wider.
i have the zc integra 87 - 89 rims too. they look like the earlier 88 - 89 crx rims kinda like a saw blade style to them. they are the heaviest of the 3 rims.
now here is what u have to take into consideration.
if u drag i guess u don't really care about how wide the tire will be go with the 90 - 91 crx rim. it is 14x5 "
if u track on a circuit go with the integra rim. 14 x 5 1/2 " that half inch really helps u out in finding a r compund tire. more tires tend to fit that rim too.
now here is the trick that will help u out a lot too.
i already have integra front brakes on my EF and all these rims clear the caliper. so u will not have any probs.
something else u should look into b4 u go and throw away ur vx rims is see if u get a spacer if the rim will fit. vx rims are really light and are 13 x 5" i think they weight 9lbs each and are made by enkei if u care about that.

. For your information Honda alloy wheels are of very high quality, and the majority of them are desgined and made by Enkei one of the top produces of quality aftermarket rims. Of course I wouldnt expect you to know that

Here are a couple of types from Honda that i know are lightweight...
Type R wheels (15" from DC2 and EK9)
VX wheels (13")
HX wheels (14") States usually carries these only.

vx wheels should clear stock 93Si brakes its 94 when they went to the bigger rotor with abs and then they for sure wouldnt clear
maybe I should get me some vx rims
