Life after Honda

Well, after a couple of interviews, I finally got the job as an "Audi Brand Specialist" (Sales) ... today was my first day (Audi of Mississauga), and lemme tell you I have a new found appreciation for German engineering... don't get me wrong I still love Honda and my lude (which I'm gonna sell now), but after test driving the various models I was really impressed... even more so when I was at Lexus... I wonder how many others have switched from a Japanese manufacturer to a German one and felt the same way?

After my past experiences with VW's, I'll stick with my Honda's for now. The GTI's are very sweet though.

that is an unfortunate stigma placed on VW's ... from speaking to a few tech's (Both at Audi and previously at Lexus) Audi isn't so bad... the 4yr/80,000kms ALL maintenance covered option is bonus... so it sorta addresses that... I haven't seen details of sales yet, but I'm gonna guess that most of em are leases, and after that 4yr or 80k, we'll get trade ins.. we have tons of used cars on our lot

I actually went the other way... my last car was a 95 Jetta Turbo Diesel. It was actually the car I learned to drive on. It had 435 000 km on it when I sold it. Only things that ever had to be replaced was the rad and rad support, which was only 1 month ago. Other than that... nothing. Original clutch and everything. IT was a great car. However from being on the VW boards, and knowing people with Mk4's, I know that the newer ones do have alot more problems.

What do you have to do to get a job as a car salesman? I was always interested in that.

Mine drives awsome. Its nothing compared to a civic. I'd prolly never go back to a civic as a daily driver.
