Left Lane Rudeness

Hey guys,

Just want to vent a bit, I'm sure its a topic most of us agree on. I absolutely dislike and get really frustrated with drivers who insist on driving in the left lane at below the speed limit.

Happened last night north on the 410, guy in front of me is going 85 in the left lane. I flash him so he can move over. Wait ten seconds, flash again. Another ten seconds and I am no longer going to be polite. So I flash him again and he decides to slam on the brakes and try to hit me.

Why do people do this? Why can't we be like in Europe where its against the law to be in the left lane longer than 5 seconds? This jerk wouldn't budge, I couldn't go around him/her because all 3 lanes had people going at roughly the same speed (all under 100 I may add) and caused quite the backup. I finally get around in the slow lane and basically blew by everyone going 105Km/h. I wasn't looking at speeding, I just want people to realise that you can't park yourself in that lane and cause all kinds of traffic. My girlfriend gave me **** for disturbing the guy and I had to inform her that he is in the wrong not I.

Of course my favourite.... I pass the lineup and after 20 seconds another guy starts flashing the dude that was still in the left lane going 85. He still doesn't get it. Only moved over after the guy kept his highbeams on constant.

People, if you don't know the rules, don't drive. Plain and simple. I'm not asking nor condoning speeding, I was only driving 110 max. But clearly at "highway speeds" don't park yourself in the left lane.

LOL im 100% with you on this one. Sometimes what makes me even more angry is when i pass around the car, the EFFIN idiot is on the cell phone.
So one day i just couldnt take it anymore so i decided to do a note. I got a board just enough covers my side window and it says on one side "YOUR DRIVING TO SLOW" and the other side says " F@C#ING IDIOT". I just pull that out maybe once a week or so, its worse in the summer. Thats when they come out. lol

The prairie highways are even worse then the GTA. People seem to always drive in the left lane and give you dirty looks when you go pass them in the right lane. Definitely agree it should be the law that you cant cruise in the left lane!

What are you guys talking a bout? whats wrong with keeping it under the speed limit and staying in the left lane? 85km/h is pushing it. i like to cruise at 60-70km/h to avoid any potential accidents. Also i choose to stay in the left lane because that lane is usually most empty and least cars are in front of you. All you people are the ones who get on my nerves, high beaming me, giving me dirty looks and sometimes even hand gestures while i wave to be polite and say hi.

I find on the 404, especially later at night on my way home from a meet, most people are all driving in the middler and left lane. I simply stay in the right lane at 110-120ish and never have to pass anyone cause nobody is there! lol.

But yeah, it does **** me off when people drive slow in the left lane. I usually don't bother flashing them or trying to get them to move, I just pass them on the right. Usually people follow me and after the 3rd or 4th car passes them on the right, they get the hint and move over...

I do the same thing, but in this case, it was all 3 lanes of slowasses, like it was a conspiracy or something. One of them had to move, I'm not kidding there was a large buildup behind me. It pisses me off because once I pass them, they see I'm a Civic driver, young (25) and male so they all think I'm the ***** meanwhile they're the ones that should give their head a shake. And again last night, on the 427 north, a guy in the left lane with his 4 ways on doing 90. After 2 cars in front of me tried, I didn't bother, just moved over and kept going.
