Hi!

OK, I've never leased a car so I don't know some things about leaseing.
My current car was leased for 3 years, and I just wanted to know how the maintanance is done on leased cars. Does HONDA require owners to come in for service and do they change/fix, all required things?

dont lease, its the worst thing ever, ur paying for something thats not even yours.....its like just renting a car pretty much, but when uleasea car im pretty sure they make u come in for regular maintenance well oil changes anyways, also u must have full insurance on a leased car..

Leasing is good if...

1. Self-employed...
2. Don't want to spend too much $$$ to get a car
3. You're not planning to keep the car.
4. Like me, wanted to change car for every few years. (I financed & paid off my 6th Gen Accord, and it was a mistake!)
5. You are leasing something that you know will not last for over 4 yrs. (e.g. Chry$ler, F0R_)
6. After all...learned from school, "Buy what Appreciate, Lease what Depreciate"

Well my Civic is on lease, cause I wasn't sure if I was gonna be working here for a long time or going overseas.

Lease will be up in about 4 months, and I plan on keeping it. My monthly payment will be lower, and I will get to own a car at the end of the day. Save money in the long run.

I agree, even though I will never lease again. Domestic are cheaper to lease and they are not worth keeping.

If you can afford it, buy new honda, even better by a year or two year old car

For maintenance, just do your regular oil change and that's all you need.

Check fluids when you need to and top them when you are being asked to do so. Drive easy and the parts will last a long time.

You don't need to bring it back to Honda for service, you can service anywhere you like. The rule of lease is you bring it back like the day you drove the car out of the parking lot spanking new 4 years ago. Of course, a little stone chip here and there and some dirt in the cockpit is inevitable. They will do a detail clean on the car before they resale anyway. Not to exceed the designated km limitation (96000km) or else it will be 10 (or 18?) cents per km. It will be written in your leasing paper.

You don't need to return it to the same dealership. You can return it anywhere you like and perhaps lease another vehicle. If you have less mileage on it (for instance, 40k for 4 years) the dealership might even give you some discount on your next purchase/lease vehicle since you've bring back a such low mileage 2nd hand vehicle.

For the 1st 4 yrs with Honda...it rarely requires any "real maintenance other than oil change + Wear & Tears (e.g. Brake Pad" & "Headlights")

But if it has any body damages, you will have to get that fix at your own cost.

Mileage doesn't really matter. If you need the car as your daily driver, then you gonna put on some mileage regardless. For me, I drive 100km back and forth to work everyday so I got some heavy numbers. But since I am keeping it, that doesn't really matter to me.

You can't go wrong with that IMO.
