A Formula One Driving School. It's off either Rutherford or Major Mackenzie (can't remember) in Maple. It's like 2 sec past Keele. The guy's name is Jay or Jeff I think. It's been a while since I took lessons.

He's a cool guy and his classes are very chill. He can get you sooner test dates too if you need it.

CAA used to have stick cars. This was back when I was 16 though, dunno about now. I took an auto... I think stick may have been more cash.

I was gonna say that. Get a friend to show you how and to get if off the lot and away so you can man it and learn yourself!

That's just wrong.. Someone will buy that car, that you basically DESTROYED learning without guidance..

Yeah A Formula 1 is on Major Mac in Maple, the guys name is Jeff and thats where I went too. He was a cool guy and the lessons were cheap and my test was an early date. I recommend it.

Yeah Jeff was chills. Charged through the teeth though when I needed to rent his car for the G test, and my re-test.

kewl thx alot

yea i tried driving a manual once, went to dealer looking for a car and the sales insisted i test drive a car, and i wanted to buy manual so he let me drove one.

i know how it to operate it but it stalled a few times so he switched it with a auto (shifttronic)

i thought i did everything right. depress clutch, turn key

shift to 1st then slowly let go of clutch as i give gas until it catches on.

but oh well i was able to make an appointment for thursday with young drivers... get to learn on mustang :)

what i planned was when i buy my manual in a few months i can learn on my own, but suddenly a dealer called me for job and said that it's mantatory that i know how to drive stick shift before they can hire me :( what a bummer

shoulda told them i know how to drive one then quickly find someone to teach me

sirhondalot 01-Jun-2004 11:50 PM

how much do places charge ?

nwgtr 02-Jun-2004 07:31 AM

around $45 an hour

imported_Moe_Mentum 02-Jun-2004 09:38 AM

If you can I'd say rent a car if you can find one with a manual tranny and teach yourself. I would say it'll be hard to learn with just one hour lesson. Sure you might learn how to get the car going, but it doesn't start to scratch the surface. Just wait until you meet your first steep hill with a car right on your ass. Your gonna fear for your life haha.

:dito: yep i went to Jeff too, i was cruizing in an hour, of course i barely fit into that tiny Hyundai

imported_Promoking 02-Jun-2004 10:57 AM

HAHAHA the red Hyundai oh man. What a POS. The car was da ****.

I still remember him letting me take the new Golf by myself for like over an hour while following him cause I wanted to do stick that day and the car was at the shop or something. This was when Alice DJ was blowing up. I had that **** cranked in the Golf (sounded pretty good for factory). I felt like Mr. Cool Guy except for the fact that he made me keep the retarded driving school sign on the roof. I was booting in that thing though.
