L. Ram intake in winter....

Cai

This is my first winter for my car and with my new intake on and I was a bit worried about the bad weather...what do you guys suggest?? would I need one of those Hydra sheilds for da filter or put back the OEM intake till summer - any of you have problems with water getting into the air intk. or all is good??

wth is a l ram intake, im gonna assume u mean cai ? If so then just get a bypass valve and u shud be good or if u have a short ram like me u dont have to worry about ****

long ram = CAI intk....no!?

mine is 2 piece so I can convert it to short ram if I want

I have a CAI and have never had a problem, you have to get in some deep slush for it to do any damage

Yeah i live in bc and we get some serious snow, slush etc, does anyone know if the 07 si aem l ram cai will be affected? The cone is down behind the front bumper and all but still not sure

It's been snowy and slushy down here already for the past 2 dayz.... still worried cause the locaiton of my filter is in da same place as yours....

do you like your motor the waty it is? if not hydro lock is agreat way to destroy it giving you an exellent excuse to swap it out with somthing else.

I'd use a short ram or stock intake IMO. it's not just the slush you need to worry about. I had a car in my shop last winter because a water main on his street broke due to the cold. BIG puddle, he sucked up water and there was one less B18 swaped civic out there.

I would stick with short ram or OEM for winter due to the slush and puddles, or atlest install a by-pass valve
