Guy that sucks!! I guess you just have to take it in the gut b/c a lot of these shops are overloaded w/ work.

I've ran into that same situation with my swap. So when someone promises me that something will take a week to do, I take it as a couple of weeks or more.

Hope you get it back soon.

well lets just say some unfortnate employee shyt happened over the past couple of months.
1. The guys that worked for steve were acused of stealing material from him.......Lies......
2. Is the silver mustang still in the shop? Its going to be a year soon.
3. When they get a job that they can do real quick..ie coilovers, they do that job first, and then they try to get back to the other stuff.
4. Is the red civic HB still there? you know, the one that is being turned in to a convertable? I was there when the roof was cut off.
5. I was told by one of the "employes" that the seats and stuff are sent out to New Image......Am I wrong??? http://www.newimageinteriors.com/

Steves a nice guy, don't get me wrong....but he has a problem with talking too many jobs in at one time....maybe he's gready for cash...don't know. I learned last year....I won't get anything done there.:working:

My 2C's.....

If thats the case, then it will probably be quite awhile until they are done. A buddy of mine got his seats redone by them and they promised a week, but it took closer to a month.

I understand that you might dislike my shop. But the fact of the matter is yes they did screw up, I will try my best to resolve the problem. What has been overlooked is the fact that toronto's show cars are ALL consturcted at Compact. By the way, if Bruno was mad I wonder why he still brings his car there. And to provide a suitable response to your comment Alan, his employees were stealing stuff, primarily the custom moulds they make for cars, they took them home and made kits that they would sell out of their van. Trust me, I know these things, they purposely screwed up the evolution mustang why I do not know. And Steve is not by any means greedy for money, he wont even let a car in now until they finish the ones they have in their. Take it for what you will, every shop has problems, but what I dont like is people who make shyt up about my shop.

EL_Sport, what kind of car did your friend have...I will check the records.
Speedracer is your friends car in the shop now? I need to know the year and colour of the car.

well you know what they say

9 out of 10 customers that are disatisfied do nothing.

They just bring their business else and bad mouth the shop.

So far I've read 3 complaints, thats means theres atleast another 27 dudes that aren't saying anything.

Business is Business

and people vote with their money

really right now is not a prime time to do an major car work in busy show car shops, Darknights is right around the corner and most of these places will do the sponsored cars first and also any car that is a major part of the show.

If I uderstood correctly, Mike and his brother made some of those molds......So how can it be considered stealing if they made them in the first place? They were also accused of stealing the fiberglass mat and resin/hardener (I guess you knew that already). What you didn't know is that they bought alot of their own materials when they did make copies from the molds. Like I said before, Steve's a nice guy, but his own brother in-law had to wait about a month to get his rear bumper back. (Steve wanted to make a mold of his "old school" Wings West Rear bumper, so he could duplicate it and then sell it. He said "give me a few days", which then turned into 1 week.... 2 weeks.... 3 weeks..... you get the idea) Yes they do good work, I have seen alot of the cars they have done, (when I say they, I mean the guy's that Steve hires to do the work for him). I have seen him get dirty on occation, but he is rarely at the shop when you do go by.

When I go to a shop I excpect promt service, I also understand that there are things that cannot be controlled., but when someone makes a promise, and then doesn't call back when there is a problem, that's what pisses me off. Like I said before...cool guy, but there are also plenty of other custom shops that do good work as well. Next time anybody see's a car they like (ie...mods, body work) ask the guy some simple questions...

1. Who did the work?
2. Do they do ALL the work in house, or do they send it out?
3. What other cars have they done? Pics? Names? (see if you can speak to them yourself, but remember, the guy might have gotten a killer deal as long as he represents the shop...kind of like the tow truck driver that get a kick back from a bodyshop if they bring an car that was in an accident to the shop).
4. How much did it cost?
5. How long did it take?
6. Were ther any problems?

And the one that I think is important....
7. Is there anything that you were not completely happy with? ie....body work....paint finish.....(If the guy says everything went perfect and he is extremly happy with the work, don't believe them.....NOBODY is perfect.)

Ask before you buy and before you put your hard earned cash down.:working:

The sponsored cars and extreme show winners get first pick for having their cars worked on. Summer is the worst time to mod a car in terms of body and paint. The show cars get priority all the time and so do the big spenders (anything over 8g's). Best time is over the winter like myself, they have all the time in the world plus your car is in a heated garage, what more could you ask for?

I dont own the shop, nor do I work there lol. Im just really kewl with them all, its like my second home...when i had my car i used to be there every friday and weekend, just to chill.

I try to make all the customers happy, and try to sort things out because they are so damn busy.

Dont worry when my car is done, you guys can drool 15ft away from it
