just wondering if anyone has some answers to a few things. Does anyone no of a reason i shouldnt take a cover off a stock headers from a 05 civic si with a d17. not a big deal but just wondering if anyone has a reason y i shouldnt have done it. Another question is if anyone knows if a fake mugen (tenzo r) valve cover for a sohc would fit a d17. Im not trying to make a fake mugen or anything but the valve covers look sick and im not a fan o plastic covers.

Taking the heatshield off the exhaust manifold will not do any damage nor do anything really. Just make sure there are no loose wires around the area.

Regarding the valve cover, as long as its for the d17, it will work. D15/D16 valve covers are different. On another note, you can just paint your stock valve cover, i believe there is a walk through in the DIY section. Save money and still looks decent.
