nah - didn't smoke anything cause that day I had the a/c on. That drained that poor little CX of any Firefly smokin ability.

But with the a/c off I could chirp first NO problem

I don't know how you could drive that thing. How'd you manage to merge onto highways or pass trucks and stuff like that? That motor had maybe 50 whp.

I drove that thing across the States from NV to Ontario 7 TIMES. When driving through Wyoming when it was loaded with all my school stuff I would have to really play with the a/c. On the way down a hill I would have to downshift to 3rd and get up a real head of steam. I would fly by all these big transaports and stuff. and then I would start going up the other side of the hill and turn the a/c off and keep it pinned in thrd. Then the speed and power would start to fade. Next thing you know all these trucks are passing me again and I am crawling up the frikin mountain...pathetic. Truckers must have thought I was a real plug.

That sounds alot like my auto D15 days... of course passing trucks wasn't THAT bad, it was those damn geo metros that always got me.

First swap was performed summer 2000...second was performed summer 2001. Let's hope I don't have to do another summer 2002.

Good thing we won't go to fast on our summer cruises. If we did all the stock people, including myself, would get left behind.
