JDM Engine's in the GTA
#6
I've bought 2 from TorontoJDM.
Both shipped to iGarage within 2 days.
First one had a few issues that I never really got to fix because I blew a rod (my own fault for driving into an ocean of a puddle with a CAI installed). This one was a full swap kit that came with transmission. Transmission was pristine when I got it.
The second one is mint, no major issues. I only bought the block for this one to replace the first one. All I've had to fix on this block was to clean the IACV and replace the O2 sensor within the last year and a half, otherwise it runs clean and hard.
TorontoJDM's warranty only covers that the engine will start once installed. If I recall, your warranty expires the moment you get in and drive it away from the garage.
Not sure if this helps or hinders your decision, but if I can offer any advice, take a look at what kind of 'guarantees' or 'warranty' each place provides... most, if not all of these places just get the parts shipped in from sources overseas that claim they work, do a visual inspection, plonk it on the floor and wait to sell it. It's obviously not feasible to road test each block, so you should make sure you get some sort of coverage in case they ship you a lemon.

Igarage - Markham
iGarage is where I get all my work done, Ivan is a good guy and knows his stuff, he's taken care of my car since the day I did the swap.
