i would go for a lude if you really want/need a change...

if i were you, stick with your civic, make it a pure sleeper... a fun daily driver, cheaper insurance, cheaper to deal with when there's problems....

Thanx for the input everyone, especially Matt. I like both cars though, and am still 50/50...the thing that puts the prelude ahead is the fact that i can get it easily for under 15K, thats with good KM's...the GSR's are rare, and all of them i seen were over 15K...

Id get a type r but whats the point when it will be stolen within a week, and chopped in to pieces. Matt i have some questions for you but il just message you on msn for more details...

Oh yeah one question though, does the SE have leather seats? Other than leather what else does the SH model have that a SE doesnt?

BTW Chris, yes i do have GSR leathers right now and i loveee them, so comfortable...

There is alot more reasons why i wanna get rid of this car man, i been meaning to sell it for a year now, i finally got the ***** for it now and theres no turning back...everyone is telling me how amazing it is and i should keep it but the time has come...i want something different, and i dont wanna do a swap either cuz like Matt says, it opens up a whole new window of problems...

For the most part I love my prelude (my driving style has caused most of the tire and suspension problems I'm having). Not all Preludes burn oil, my oil loss between changes is so minimal that there is never a need to add oil. The ride on the Prelude is usually fantastic (mine is not so good right now because I just put Tein SS suspension in and I haven't found the height and dampening I like yet).

If you want a tighter and more refined feel, prelude all the way.

I'd hold off until you could afford to insure a BMW. It's night and day driving them when compared to a honda. Although I'd only buy a 2000+, anything older and you'll enounter some expensive fixes.

It wants to be twice as nice to drive as everything (including the car) costs twice as much.

Its not only the insurance thats making me stay away from the bimmer, like i say its kinda tight inside for someone my height, im also not a big fan of the dashboard in that car, and parts will be expensive in case it needs something fixed. Also, just this morning i was talking toa 323i owner (1999) who says its given him various problems...like i said im sticking to honda...which one though i dont know yet.

the gsr and prelude are both faster than the 323 as well...

the problem is you're looking at a BASE model bmw.... 323's are garbage.

plus the fact that they dont get paid the same amount to do the same work doesnt help either. anything under warranty they get paid almost half only.

BMW builds nice cars.

But to stay on topic, if that's the only two cars you would choose from, I would say Prelude. I am about your height and the solution is a lower seat rail.

WELL OBVIOSLY THE 323 WOULD NOT BE MY FIRST CHOICE, BUT I CANT AFFORD A HIGHER CLASS BMW, IM NOT AT THAT STAGE IN MY LIFE YET, I JUST GRADUATED COLLEGE, GOT MY FIRST JOB, AND STARTED PAYING OFF MY LOAN. MY BUDGET IS 15K MAX, AND I DONT WANNA GET A OLDER BMW EITHER I WANT SOMETHING 99+...WHICH BRINGS ME BACK TO THE PRELUDE/INTEGRA

IM NOT YELLING, USING THE CAPS AT WORK!

yeah i totally understand

maybe you should just keep the civic for awhile longer and save up some more money? That is unless the car isnt running right.

Already talked to you on msn but never knew about the gsr now lol
Anyway, I say get the lude still, very nice machine. GSR is really nice but it's going to get stolen right away, might as well just get a type r b/c both will get stolen just as much as each other.

I never heard about this problem with the sh's, my friend had one for over 2 years and I have no clue what you guys are talking about, he hasn't had any problems with the ATTS.

Get the lude man, slap an alarm in it, lower the car and your good to go

that sucks, Id not wana do the warranty work then either..

I guess thats why they always try and say you gotta replace other parts when warranty work is done, to make up for the loss

Looks like most people vote prelude, but i just love the way the gsr looks, id get it in silver with a cf hood, CAI, and slammed on blades, thats it! Also id imagine that driving the GSR feels more like driving a sports car just because its smaller and lighter...hmmm

I heard that preludes are pretty bad on insurance too, i still gotta call my insurance company...plus they will waste more gas and burn more oil...

I dont understand why GSR's are so hard to find, there is way more type r's in the autotrader, and like 2 gsr's one going for 16,900 and one for like 17,900...thats crazy...
