uhhhhh..i dunno if it suppose to happn or not .....but my civic has stock intake with k&n filter and when ever u drive no matter at whut rpm the intake makes a loud noise......is this suppose to happn on older model civics like 99 i drove a 2002 and didnt hear the noise

maybe the airbox is poped, check to see if its closed properly cuz on my dads ek stock intake i poped it for fun and it wuz DAMN loud

the snorkel from the resonator box to the filter box is prolly disconnected

can you give us more details?

Will noise go away with honda filter?
If no, check the intake pipe that leads to the air filter box.
the pipe has an smaller edge that goes into the bottom of the filter box.

maybe someone had removed the resonator for the intake.

removing the resonator doesnt make that much of a difference in sound... i did it to mine (almost the same car as his) and i cant barely hear a difference
