Exactly, I've never once seen a petition make any difference.

well the peeps who organized this one are gonna have a rally in the spring time at Queen's Park using this petition, I don't think it would hurt if you guys sign it. Maybe it will make a diff, you never know, but again, totally your choice.

yeah ... won't do any good ... if you want the rates to drop you have to remove the demand for the product..

gas prices are another sore issue for people .. some got the idea of blitzing certian companies with a don't buy from policy .. forcing that company to "drop prices" it worked a bit but people are lazy and never stick to a plan..

what would happen to insurance rates if everyone stopped driving and took the insurance off their cars.... to get people back the insurance companies would have to actually compete and sell insurance then

look at the cell phone industry for example (it's one I know well) your not forced to buy a cell phone for yourself so the big 4 have to set about competing for your business and fighting and this allows for a better price for the consumer... I'd bet rates would sky rocket as profiteering sets in if it was ever regulated that you must have a cell phone. you think we would compete for a share of the market? hell no we'd set our rates to make the most profit.

the issue is the insurance industry is saturdated 100% of cars legally on the road have to have insurance so why compete for that business, they will buy it no matter what your rates are. therefore no competition is the result. what we need is a competitive minded company to jump in and set cut throat rates to force the other companies down in price or steal their business...

all of you with Statefarm... which one of the biggest in this province should consider jumping ship... cause them to lose their customer base not just for auto insurance but home and life as well and eventually they will get the message and lower their rates .. a mass move of customers from one company ussually doesn't happen till that company goes broke. this is well known int he industries it's time the consumer took the riens of power and left that one company .. the more that leave the more pressure they will feel....

LMAO ... still nieve eh? ain't it fun?

the government will not do anything about the issue what they have as choices are 2 things

1) remove the law requiring insurance on cars (very dangerous if you don't have it and kill someone your screwed for life)

2) bring out not for profit public car insurance owned and operated byt he government...
