It's "hydraulics" not hydrolics kids. And Si Veloz is correct: they're illegal in Canada.

as gatherer says they are illegal but only if your dog legging it as you drive or hopping. I was in a car with hydros it was slammed down got pulled over for an unrelated reason then the officer asked what the switches were for the driver said hydros the officer said thats cool lets see what it can do we proceded to have a show on the side of the road my friend assked if they were illegal and the info the cop said as long as its one hight while in motion its fine it cant be see sawed either has to be even all around but at a light at full stop you can raise or lower it but no hopping and you should be fine... thats my info

I was into that... if on hydraulics, the frame has to get boxed, and the whole setup is quite high maintenance and unreliable... air is much cheaper to do and a lot more reliable and user friendly, but there is a limited number of things you can do with air... basically up and down, see-saw, and that's it... if you get more valves, you can raise a wheel I think... I seen a guy in an Astro van get pulled over for hopping at a light...

yeah bbarbulo is right you have to get your frame reinforced and keep an eye on the batteries and hydro fluids and lines it is alot of maintainence and repairs if you use it regularly air is cheaper and more reliable and if you get a good setup you can dog leg you cant hop like hydros but you can get a little bounce... hydros is a lifestyle you have to be ready for the time it takes to do it right and keep it crispy.

I knew a guy with a s-10 with a 2 pump setup front only (the rears were not in) unless you want to hop I would go with bags.

Hopping puts so much stress on the frame and bumpers...
