I read a closed thread about Importfest that sparked some curiosety of mine...
.....in the history of TCC how many times has it competed in Importfest?
I know my car was the only one enterred last year (suprised I even got in)....and I know you're there this year, but in previous years, has TCC ever enterred?????
This is Importfest's 6th year I believe. Has TCC enterred in any prior years?

hmm... I think a few people from here have competed in the past, some friends of mine have and their around here somewhere. Not everyone reading TCC is actually a member, and some of them compete too.

OT but ive seen your car around man, that paint job really REALLY stands out and looks good.


i plan on making it out to importfest hopefully this time around, love to catch some of your gals/guys cars there.

I believe it's vinyl, not paint. I've seen it once a while ago, don't quite remember anymore

TCC as a group has never entered Importfest until this year. We have had other individuals enter and we have has a booth before but this will be teh first as a team.

What a good question...

Last year was the first year that TCC attended/or participated in as a club at Importfest. TCC never had an organized show team until last year either. Here is some background for all of you:

This site was started as a bunch of people who drove Honda Civics in mid 2001 (First Importfest late 2001), they met and became friends. The club was formed to meet every week and attend some things together. Back then the TCC of today was not even thought about.

It was not the intent to show at every show. Actually the first show attended by TCC (as showing) was Darknights in 2002, then next was Darknights in 2003, and then Darknights 2004. It wasn't until the last CSCS show of 2004 (October 2004) that TCC began to compete in these events, and organize its own groups to go. 2005 was the first year that we had a dedicated group of people who wanted to attend shows consistently as a team. Hence the show team was born last year, and a person was put in charge to make sure all the events (meets, pricing, times, directions, ect.) were planned appropriately.

Thi site did not come into existence with 15,000 users, in May of 2001 it started at 1 (Yahoo board) and grew from there.

As the years have gone on the site has grown, and we have had to change to facilitate the growth and offer members more than a website and weekly meets. We have made this a club for many with different interests versus a club for a few who just wanted to have coffee and talk Civics. That is still there for those who just want to do that, but now there is more offered for those who want to do more.

This site has alot to offer, if you only want to be online you can, if you want to go to meets you can, if you want to go to shows you can...ect. 2007 is going to be a pivotal year, first with the new mod format, and planning is going to take place for those who want to have track days, and chances are the site may take on something new.

Looking forward to the future of TCC.

I was there last year....wont be doing it again this year...way too late in the year(car is off the road as of the 1st) and it gets expensive when we had to get a room for 2 nights at the skydome hotel...
