If you wanna get flamed, try the EK forum on jdmcivic.com

Don't worry, there are no haters over here I will be getting an oven and air compressor so I can powder coat too in my garage. What is so bad about your rims?? Got close-ups. Eastwood Co. sells a powdercoating kit.

I was planning to go for a flat black however the guy tried it like 3 times and they all failed. The powder looked all clumpy so I told him to try gloss black and it worked. When I first got them they were perfect. I had them all lined up at my door ready to load them into the car to get the tires mounted. My cat decides to rub up against one of them and they fell over like dominos and chipped 3 out of 4 rims. I got them done again but finish isn't too good. Some rims are have that orange peel effect. Plus when I got the tires re mounted, they chipped the lip on all the rims. I had to use spray paint to cover it up. All in all it was just pure hell. I'm planning on getting some 17 inchers when I save up the cash.

EDIT: I'll try to take some close up pics next time.

That's too bad. Hope you didn't punish the cat too much Yeah, aftermarket rims are the best...why didn't you just paint them yourself the first time with high quality wheel paint. It would prob be better than DIY powdercoating. I did more research on DIY powdercoating, and it's changed my mind...I no longer want to buy a kit.

Welcome to the club BTW, even though I don't so up the meets much anymore.

Actually, it's a 2002... and there's a few members here with EP's.

It wouldn't be the first time someone's stolen an emblem off a car of mine. In fact, I've taken them off myself a few times. For whatever reason, if I ever decide to take it off this one, I'll keep "i-WERKS" in mind.

That's what I was planning to do however most peeps that I've talked to said powdercoating is the way to go. If I knew it was going to turn out like this. I would have used spray paint.

Buff.

Thanks but I think it looks pretty good without it. Just pissed that someone other than me took it off. I called honda and it costs $40 for a new one but what's the point. Someone will just rip it off again.

Thanks for all the support. I was expecting to get flamed by some EP haters out there.

Nice car!
Any plans to black out the headlights? What about a Type-R spoiler/kit?

Keep it up!

SilverCRXSi,

I'm planning on painting the headlights gunmetal this spring. I would love the type r spoiler but I'm planning for rims, header, exhaust and maybe the jackson supercharger before I go for the kits and spoilers unless I can get them for cheap.
