my car was rear ended once while i was stopped at the red light....no damage to the rear bumper...i got hit directly on the rear panel under and around the tail light.

the hit was hard enough for my car to drag and pushed over into the lane next to me (luckily there was no car there)

so the car went to honda for repairs and they fixed everything...new tail light, bumper and quarter panel work etc. etc. when i replaced my tail lights (with those JAY D MMM ones..hahha) some time back...i noticed an immense amount of bondo and filler work around that same area inside where i was hit....

so i figure they didnt replace the panel altogether and just fixed it. there was nothing wrong with the way the car drives though. it has been over one year now.

so i guess....unless there is no structural damage (as jay mentioned like chasis and other vital areas)...i would just have the area fixed instead of spending $$$ on new parts altogether.

^ the RL does not have this feature for the doors... At least not the Canadian or US spec ones. Come to think of it, the current Japanese Legend doesn't have this feature either however the Japanese Legend has a power closing trunk.

thats been around on the mercedes and bimmers for awhile, in the show rooms they are hooked up on external batterys and how if ound out was i didn't wan to slam the car door so i just let it go. it didn't complete close and as i tried to close it reached for the handle, wallla it closed on its own, sucks though if you ever forget your keys and you just slightly close the door and remember and try to grab them and click closed shut....

nicely comming along for the car, i say you paint it all white, slam it, put it on some black 20's with polished chrome lip

Regardless the paint unless a factory coour will decrease the value. I highly doubt anyone in the market for this kind of car is willing to buy it painted yellow or red. Therefore keep it black.

Is everyone a boyscout on the board. I gaurantee the majority of cars that have ever been hit are never told to the buyer.
