I think the girls jay-walked.

I hope the girl gets recovered soon.

A lot of people just don't give a crap when it comes to crossing streets. I don't know what some of the parents teach their kid but streets are meant for cars to drive on, and pedestrians must obey signs to ensure their safty.

I remember when I visit Boston, people cross roads when they felt like it. Boston either has all cars with upgraded Brambo breaks or the pedestrians are just eager to die.

I really do hope the girl is OK...those kids think they are indestuctible.

Being a driver in a potentially similar incident, I can sympathize with the driver of the Jetta. He must feel terrible.

I was making a left turn, just finished making sure the traffic across the way was stopping for the yellow/red, started my turn, when this stupid lady decided to bolt off the curb and run across.

Luckily enough I was making a turn, so I was going maybe 30, and my reaction time is good, because I had to steer around her.

I was really messed afterwards, and I didn't hit anybody....

Serious, I get scared whenever I have to swerve around people to avoid them.

I really get annoyed at people who walk halfway across the street when you have the advance green, or the people who run across the street to catch a bus cause they don't even pay attention to what the light is. Id rather wait 20 mins then get hit by a car.

Cruzzin SIR, that's a nice gesture... but really, why go out of your way? I suppose you can call the local police and ask them where the girl was taken. They may not tell you but it's worth a shot.

I don't mean to sound callous, but you know... I say don't bother. You did your part in helping. Besides, this way you can at least imagine that she's fine. What if you go to the hospital and find out she's in a coma, or worse yet... that she has a broken spine or something terrible like that? Just imagine she's recovering with minor bruises.

Did anyone here about this on the news? Cause I was trying to find anything about it, but I found nothing... So it got me thinking that shes prolly ok, cause usually if someone's seriously injured its on the news, most of the time at least.

Windsor is one of the worst places to cross the street. Saw someone get hit by a 18wheeler. Happened last fall. Her head was under teh second set of tires with a trail of blood leading behing her. There are so many trucks on that road and they all line up in one lane creating a long wall. Only way to see through is to look through the wheels. Not the brightest idea if you ask me...

man that is tough...

i was driving in downtown hamilton on king st... i wasn't speeding or nothing... speeding isn't good for your car around there anyways... but i was driving near jackson square and these two girls ran across 4 lanes of traffic... i didn't see them till they were in front of my car.... i hammered the brakes and probably missed the one by inches.... like i dont know what compells someone to run in front of traffic like that... could they really have been in that great a hurry??

like you gotta feel bad but that is why they have cross walks and all those safety precautions
