I say get a hatch.
Coupe 2nd and if you must a sedan.
No offense to anyone with a sedan but they seem like family cars to me!
Its 2 doors for and the least amount of seats possible! Hence the CRX.

Get a 6G Hatch!

Any choice is a good choice. I've had all three of them.

Don't make your decision based on whether you can fit your friends in the back seat or not. Do what you think will be best for yourself.

My vote is HATCH.

wow, lots of hatch votes! im swaying towards the hatch side now since all of you are saying good things about it. the '92 hatch came in si, dx and cx trim correct? is it worth getting the si over the other two? im not going to do any major modding like swapping (yet). i was checking out edmunds.com and i think i saw that the si had power doors, windows, steering, and brakes. does the si come with ABS? i think all of those features would come in handy. is it worth the money to get an si over a dx and cx?

Looks I would say coupe, for practicality I would go for hatch.

Final vote says coupe!

hey, were air bags an option for the '92 si hatchback?
stereo and a/c are standard in the si hatch right?
and...how much should i expect to pay for a '92 si hatchback?

I have a '92 hatch.
Air bags were not standard in '92, so no.
Stereo ie TAPE DECK was standard, but not A/C

Should you get an 92-95 Honda?
Only, if you want a car with lots of road and wind noise and doesn't have very much power.

If you want comfortable and faster buy something newer.

BUT, If you want to be cool, get a hatch

The only reason to get an Si, is the Power Moon roof.

On any car brakes can be changed, A/C can be found or added, but never get an aftermarker moonroof.

You can find fairly stock 92-95 from $3000 to $7000
Take your time finding one, and make sure it has a good body.
Body is the most important thing to look for, everything else can be fixed or replaced.

Although you think that you will not "modify it"

Believe me, when I say that everyday you own that Hatch, you'll be thinking about doing that swap.

BUT, If you want to be cool, get a hatch

I have a hatch and its great!!! there is alot of room in the rear for other passengers...as for power windows, sorry man, didn't come with it on the Si...all you get is power moon roof, power mirrors, painted door handles, black dash...btw, no air bags...they were standard on the 93 si....good luck on your purchase

Air bags are not important.

Back in 93, although the honda were not bad, air bag technology sucked.

Not sure about the hatch, but my old 92 Civic sedan had an airbag. I always thought all 92-95 Civics had airbags. On a side note, I remember reading somewhere that there was a TSB on a problem with the drivers side airbag not deploying in collisions.

BTW, I vote you get a sedan.

<devil's advocate> um...in stock form ALL of these are horrible choices for a car. None of these will impress the ladies unless you plan on investing a little bit of money into it and making it stand out a bit. That being said this choice all depends on your budget. Can you afford to make "it" look good or can you only afford a rusty shell and some blue washers? </devil's advocate>

Oh, but if I had to vote:----> hatch.

sorry for the late reply, but my car is white, and power windows were not available for 92-93 si hatch's...(don't quote me) but, i think it was only available on si coupes and sedans
