How would you spend 20 grand?

Looking for a summer car preferrably American for insurance reasons

Looking at the 2005-2007 mustang v8

Or the 97-00 corvette

Both coupes

Any reccomendations or what's your pick?

I don't wanna get something old cuz maintaining it will screw me over

I expect parts to break but with my nature I replace everything with performance so my money wouldbe tight

And no gas isn't a problem cuz I get alot of shifts in the summer so money is good

I have 12g right now and debating selling my civic to close the gap but than I wouldn't have a beater

u would prob find a decent mustang for 20k or a not so decent corvette for 20k... but the vette would hold its value better.

I know this is gonna sound horrible... Try to find a old lady selling her late husbands toy... That how you get the best deals... there just trying to get rid of the car.

i was thinking about just buying a cheap winter beater for like 1000 bucks but than i was figuring out what it'd cost to cert and etest it and theres no point

mustangs are driveable in the winter with sandbags but again i cant speak from experience

Long story short, my brothers friend purchased a 87 GN from an old lady for 1500 couple years ago. Keep looking around and you'll find something interesting.

If you young, go for the mustang. If you old go for the corvette. Considering your brown...brown girls don't digg corvettes anyway. At least from my personal experience.

You will need to look very hard or get very lucky to find a decent 97+ Vette for 20g's. They are not the cheapest cars to repair and maintain either.

20g's could easily get you into a low k 2005+ Mustang GT. I love Vettes, but Id rather have a newer, low k GT.

the mustang gt is good saftey wise
MPG is pretty good with 29 combined
power wise is a biiiit lower than the vette but the mustang has more potential of being a daily driver (and it sounds nice when it roars :P)
