I believe they say 10 days but if you don't do it that fast they really won't care. I was talking about that with them last time I went to register a car and she said it was only a security type deal for the original owner because if you think about it the car is still in their name and you can take it across Toronto running people over if you want.

Governement doesnt care as long as you have the papers signed by the previous owner. I waited 4 months.

its actually six (6) if i remember correctly, but ya they dun care i did mine 6months later. however the previous owner might get pissed if anything happens b'cos he/she is help liable as it is still his/her car once the ownership expires (6 days after its torn apart)

does matter so long as it's not plated by the owner. if it's plated still then there's issues because of insurance and stuff.

The ownership states that the buyer must transfer the ownership of the vehicle to his or her name 6 days from the date written on the tranfer part.

Most ministry offices don't care if you transfer it even 30 days later.. Just that after 6 days, you will NOT be able to get a temporary permit unless the vehicle is on your name. Depends on the person doing the work for you @ the ministry.
