I'm driving a bone stock 99 si. I didn't add anything like an exhaust system or an intake. I'm maxing out at about 450 km. Is that normal? I'm gonna do a full tune up in summer so hopefully that'll improve my mileage.

Lately I have been getting 600/tank but in the summer it was closer to 700. Mixed city/highway driving, 98 EX sedan 5 speed

I just broke the 5000km mark on my car and im still not seeing any improvements on my fuel mileage. and I dont carry any extra weight or anything.

I just did my first oil change at the dealer and told them im getting crappy mileage and they just said we wont even look into this problem until you pass 10,000Km on the car.

So I guess for not this issue cant be fixed, until I drive it down a lil more.

I was just about to say the same.

Either that or stop driving with one foot on the brake while you have the other on the gas or, if it is an auto, take the shifter out of D2 D3 or if it is a manual, stop driving all the way in 2nd or 3rd. gear.

If non of the above, take it back to the orig. dealer, document everything for discussion and resolution with H C.

Actually experienced one person who drove all the way all week in D3, then could not understand what happened, why, and complained about the horrible mileage numbers.
