well its up to your insurance company if they decide to write it off or if they decide to keep it. also depends on the fact wether to make the car branded or nonbranded. with nonbranded cars your title will be clear. from the orignal asking prices of cars like yours, if you do end up fixing it, the price would probaly drop about 1500-2grand.

depreciation is generally the price it costed to fix the car.
meaning if the car costs 4 thousand to fix TECHNICALLY speaking the depreciation on the car will be the total amount of the parts needed to fix the car plus half the labour.

so for example if it costs 4 thousand and it costed 1500 for the parts then it would be 1500 plus 1250 which is half of 2500 from the labour.
so the total depreciation is 2750 dollars. thats ASSUMING the car is not branded as a SALVAGE TITLE CAR and still has a clean record in terms of car is still able to be fixed under X amount of dollars before going into loss.

ok so your car is a clean title and therefore is NON Branded. It wont show up that you car had an accident so no one needs to know unles they figure out themselves.

actually by law you are to tell the owner if the car was in an accident that you are aware of.
