your brother is obviously lucky, and Im sure there were more circumstances you're not mentioning

$6500 is way too much. Go look at the classifieds section, or even on autotrader and you'll see.

4k seems like a more appropriate price...perhaps 4.5 if its in exceptional shape

look it up on the blue book. when i was looking for my car i'd drop the kbb value and suddenly everyoen was prepared to match it, even those that listed the car at up to two thousand more

hmm lets see

it was black
everything was functional
needed typical maintanence
was sold as is
however after a set of tires and brakes it was safetied and emissioned with no problem. btw look harder and you will find deals all over the place. someone's garbage is someone's treasure. not alot of people have time or the know how on where to get good parts for cheap and how to do things themselves. the person who owned the car probably saw it as another 2000 dollar expense and sold it rather then fix it.

Llike i said, your brother was lucky. Its rare you get such a good deal like that. I doubt deals like that appear often.

just visit this link for all the SIs under 6500

http://toronto.craigslist.ca/search/...sk=6500&addTwo=

most of them at private sells too

i spotted one for 5900 and he ll prob go down to 5500, 153km

also a 2000 SIR with 80km for 6000 (however i would verify the odometer )

bottom line , if the guys who is selling the car is your friend then i ll be looking for better ones J/K
