It really depends on the condition of the car and the mileage on it.
I've actually seen these sell for kinda more than what i think theyre worth, but you should be able to get one for under $5000. But like i said, that price can be higher or lower depending on the car itself.

I could tell you nightmares about when I bought my second 92 Si hatch (the one I'm driving now)..
Bring a magnet with you when you shop for one to check for painted over body work!!!!!!!!! I had a rusted out rear quarter panel on the drivers side.. $1200.00 later it was replaced.
Also make sure you check the door jams and all the rest underneath cause rust hides there like a ****.
I paid 7K for mine and got swindled.
Regards,
OK

i paid also 6500 for mine from a lady, front was repainted so was kind of a bonus. rust is always an issue with EG's. my down fall was the d/s rear caliper started to go wack, changed that and my bearings in the dist. after a year died. other then that the cars in fair shape...i'd say you can find a fair condition one between 5500-7000. pplz know they are old but still high in value...

I picked mine up 4 years ago with 80,000 Km's, air conditioning, no power windows, no power locks, no power mirrors (well the passanger side had one but there was no cabling for it) pretty good conditions except for a little rusting on the rear wheel wells. But all in all the car was fine... cost me 10 G's... I did remember finding one similar civic (black) cost 8 G's but had 150,000 Km's and the paint was all fubar'd... Get autotrader asian that's how I found mine...

i have a 95 EG with no options, base CX model. I paid 10 grand two years ago and 100 000 km's later it's only cost me $1500 in repairs. These are great car's, you may want to consider buying one that has high milage and swapping out the motor. Wish i had done that with mine.

Buying from a dealer will cost you an extra 7% GST tax, but the margin for negotiation is greater. Just keep shopping around for the best one out there.
Just keep looking for one with a decent body. Civic's were great sellers in the last decade, and there should still be lots available. So don't be afraid to turn down the first clean one you see.
Maintenance records are a bonus, and same goes with annual rust proofing receipts.
