Until I can tell the car is idleing at a lower rpm. Usually takes a few minutes.

just keep it under 3,000rpm and you wont damage anything, the time it sites in your driveway for 10-15mins the car can be warmed up just as much a quarter mile down the road... All your doing is polluting our enviroment by letting it sit there idleing that long...not to mention the carbon deposits on the internals ect...

on cold *** days i start it a couple of minutes before i leave from up in my apartment , by the time i get into the underground she's ready to go..

when it's sitting outside in the elements i'll start it while i'm having a smoke before leaving from work.. by the time i get out to the lot it's had about 10 minutes and she be ready to rock..

i like remote start no waiting around

Remote Start + 1500 Ft + Hot Air Circulating = Kick ***... because its so cold in the morning, so once you get into the car its nice and warm.

Spring, summer, and fall; the time it takes to put on my seatbelt, pop in a cd and I'm off. In the winter, like a minute or two. Or if the windshield is completely covered in haze, I gotta wait long enough for me to see out the window!!

Needless idling just causes pollution to the environment and wastes fuel. Cars these days really don't need very much time to "warm up." Driving the car is the fastest way to warm the thing up.

Read up on how bad idling is for your engine/environment:

Compustar alam/starter + really COLD nights + autotmatic cold start ever 1.5 hours for 10 minutes + heater already on = NEVER GETTING INTO A COLD CAR EVER AGAIN.

I only put it on autostart when I hear it's going to be -20 or more.....other than that.......when the RPM's drop, I'm good to go.

Wow, do any of you wonder what happens when your engine is hot and your shifting on a cold tranny.......

Warm-up for me in the winter is 2 min tops.
Summer/spring no more than 30 seconds. And always shift under 3000rpm when its cold.

A honda manual states my car only requires around 30 seconds to "warm up", meaning let all the fluids make their way thru the engine.

winter time may take a few more minutes.
