Question How hot would it take to get that "burnt" metal look?

I am just wondering. Like if I grab a propane kit and have a go at the tube, you think it would give that blueish tint? haha

Just wondering.

I used regular propane torch on aluminum pipe, the colour didn't change one bit. I think I need something as hot as welding arc to make it change.

bleh

ALUMINUM WILL MELT!

it is a soft metal. like stated above you would need to do this to a chrome stainless steel like object, i.e: muffler tip , or shift ****. (not all shift ***** tho!)

As I tested, propane torch (the ones you buy at CT) has no effect on aluminum.

Not hot enough.

I know welding arc will melt aluminum if done unprofessionally.
