V8s have much longer gears and rev at about 1500 rpm on the highway, hence their not-so-bad economy. Civics rock at 3000 rpm, but use half the cylinders. Try the V8 at 3000 rpm on the highway and see what happens

25 MPG in a muscle car is not unheard of... my satty gets about that in the city, and it's quick, but it's no muscle car. Civic gets about 550-600 kms/tank.

Turbos are the lick. I like looking into the faces of the domestic muscle car owners when they see my blk teg ahead of them( Mustangs, C5 corvettes, LS1 Camaros, etc). The feeling is unreal. I have a 600+whp GN and my teg gives me a totally different feel. My Buick makes sick torque and it is very violent, but but teg is low to the ground and alot smaller so it feels like a bullet when your that low to the ground. Reving to 8500rpm is also sweet.

My Civic can get 600 km per tank if I boot it around and go rev-happy.

However... if I go gentle.. I can get about 850 km to a tank if I drive it till the needle is sitting on top of the E.

I usually change gears around 2200-2500 when I drive casually and I don't go WOT often.

I get about 600 kms per tank...from full until the fuel light starts to appear...that's on average...the max I got outta one tank from driving like a grandmother all the time is just a lil less than 700.

But, I have no idea where you can get 850 from...that's insane...lol

Boost,,, my god, its the sweetest thing.

My old 13sec tsi was the best ******* car, and the greddy bov made it sound soo sick when I shifted.

I drove a buddy's STI last weekend, fun car, but the TSi was a lot more fun to drive. The sti was stock.

But theres one thing I don't miss about boost, filling up every 2 days and dishing out $45 bux per tank.

^ ooooo turbo Neon, you can blow a head gasket quicker.

My personally feeling about gas mileage, if I wanted gas mileage I wouldn't be into the whole modifing thing.

I don't think adding rims, changing intake, and adding a nice muffler to your car really makes a HUGE difference in gas mileage

An intercooler won't do a thing for sound.

the hissing sound comes from the BOV... the other sound might be coming from the compresser itself.

oh man, I just came back from a test drive in my buddy's RX7-R1...man, is that thing sweeeettt!!! Blows my mind...stock turbo but, tuned to the max...he showed me time slips of 12.8 seconds on 15 psi...on a stock turbo...only tuned...with crappy Kumho 712's...he wants the Racing Harts and thinks he should pull high 11's. Man, in any case, that thing motors like a mad man.

wow... 850 Km in one tank that's amazing. I get about 680 -700 km driving highway in my 2003 echo. 41mpg, 1.5L. Echo's gas milage ranges from 25-41 mpg. If you drive like it is a F1 car, you'll get 20 mpg. Never exprienced that in a civic before. For those that knows me and have taken a ride in my car knows what I'm talking about.

I get about 500-600 km in my civic, sometimes less.

My fav. - EG6 stripped H22A twin turbo running on Nitro. Costs a **** load to make, probly costs lots more than a Ferrari, but the power is too good to ignore. Yet to experience NSX type-R, but will in the near future.

I have driven American cars and will never go back to it again. I used to work for GM only during the auto show. If you were at the GM's show, the guy that drives the 50th anniversary Vette on to the stage and walk back stage, that was me. That car's interior is ghetto, Cavalier like, power and performance is impressive, lots of torque... 4.4 seconds of it, before it get illegal.
Never driven Viper, but I'm sure 500 lbs ot torque is nice too. After awhile, these cars are not as smooth any more and once the bills rolled in on replacements...wow...
