How do I clean this crap

Im in the process of building my LS/VTEC and have my cylender head completely stripped. The problem im having is getting the carbon or whatever off the valves and the combustion chamber. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks
Sean

take the valves out and use a wire wheel, or combustion chamber cleaner, carburater cleaner and a wire brush. Or you could take it to a machine shop and get them to hot tank it, that will clean it up really good.
