Honda partner 2000
 

I have a honda partner year 2000, i need some help regarding my transmission. At first i was having issuses with the reverse gear instead of fixing it i decided to buy another used one which after bolting it up i realised that it only drives in when in the gear that says 2 on the shifter when its in d3 or d4 it does not move forward now does the shake like it should when its put in gear, d3 and d4 is similar to neutral with this tranny. Also when its in 2 it does not indicate this on the dashboard only with P, R, N, D3, D4. I was wondering if this may be a problem with the shifter cable. I connected the vtec sollenoids and it didnt change anything. A mechanic told me the tranny is d13 while the engine is d15, could this be the issue?
