Honda Canada Financing Inc.

I hope you guys can help with some info.

Acura cars are financed through Honda Canada Financing Inc. right?

There is currently a "Retail - Loyalty financing" at 1.8% for 48 months.

My current '04 Honda Accord is financed with Honda Canada Financing Inc. and I was hoping someone here could confirm I would be eligible for the Loyalty financing rates when purchasing an Acura.

Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks LBJGH

not all honda's or acura's are financed thru honda canada.
it all depends on your credit history and the deals the dealership themselves are offering.

for example Action honda likes to use HSBC Bank alot because they have a deal with the bank where their clients get the option of choosing HSBC etc.....

Leases however are different usually leases tend to be with Honda Canada.

I'm pretty sure I'm with Honda Financing though...

I called an Acura Dealer and they said I had to have purchased a previous Acura product.

I don't know if I believe him though... how can I get the info on this?

each dealership has their own finance companys to choose from that best suits your needs when u apply for a credit and leaves options as well to see which finance company will accept you depending on how ur credit is, this helps the dealer sell more cars since more options for which one will accept ur application at which interest rate. and yea each dealership has some sort of a contract worked out with most bank, and leases are mainly dealt with honda finance, toyota finance etc..

i asked my friend who owns a nissan, a friend who is sales manager at honda, and sales manager here at my work when i was deciding which car to pay and how things work and this is what they told me, maybe they lied to me who knows... ahah

Well I got the run-around yesterday. I called Honda financing who put me through to Honda Canada who put me through to Acura financing who told me to call the dealership.

Honda Canada Financing lists retail financing for both honda and acura cars...

No.

They don't want to cannibalize their Honda brand... the Loyalty thing only works from Acura to Acura, or from Honda to Honda...

not transferable... trust me i tried...

No sweat! My wife doesn't take delivery till July any way.... I have time to "fight the man" on this financing... come on all I need is an ownership... not the whole car.

really just an ownership? to be eligible?

weird... i thought that it only worked if you had just finished leasing/financing an Acura then you could get this loyalty deal... not if you owned an acura prior...

Not past tense, present tense... you have to currently own an Acura to be eligible.
