hmm stick with the b18 or swap?

ok! so I have a 93 coupe with a b18b in it already... not sure why it wont run, have no spark right now. Question is i can get a 95 civic SI for 200 bucks with 140000 on the motor... do i make the b18b run? or swap out for the SI... My plans are to add a turbo, but not sure the best plan for me

Thanks

Fus

Check the compression on the b18. If it's good, then just get it running.

hmm you think so? the b18b is the better choice for a turbo setup? and are there any parts on the SI motor i would be interested in?

Just like MPR said get the B18 running. You can make more power out of the B18 over the D16 with a turbo.

How is this even a question, the B18B is way better stock AND in turbo form, and it's already in your car. Taking it out, putting the Si engine is like trading in your Civic for a bicycle.

It does however depend on what exactly is wrong with it. Unless you blew the motor though it shouldn't be anything big.
