It's not like he didn't see the other car in front of me since he's like 10 feet higher than the rest of the vehicles on the road. I'd say they're just a**holes who thinks they own the roads. Mind you, not all truckers are like that. They have a system for quick flashes and long high beams. You pissed him off!
i agree....nothing is more retarded than being flashed by a damn trucker while you are in the middle lane....

You know, the lights, on the back of the truck, so they can see when they're backing up, trying to hook onto a trailer.

I can't believe no ones mentioned flashing your headlights to warn people of an up coming cop car parked somewhere.

I do this and appreciate when people do it for others. When ever i see people flash their headlights going the other way i always check my speed.

I hate it when your on a country road and your coming up over a hill and you can see someone coming up the other side and you know they know your there cause you can see their lights and they can obviously see yours...I've flashed my lights long before we both come into view but they still wait till they come into view with you and blind you for a second then trun their high-beams off....

WHY DO PPL DO THIS!!!!

If you see a car coming up a hill towards you, turn off your high beams BEFORE you come in view of the other vehicle!!!!

rant off.

when I see "ricers" speeding and I know there is a cop up ahead I dont warn em...I giggle to myself and watch them get pulled over in the rear view...but for normal drivers that might be goin a bit fast they get the flicker

hahaha!

On the way home today some truck was going 80km/h on the highway in the right lane and was pissing me off cuz I know I couldn't pass him because my exit was coming up and there wasn't enough room/space/time, so I just passed him on the off-ramp and he turned his highbeams on the whole time while creeping up to me......

stupid cabano kingsway!

Two quick flashes is a warning to oncoming traffic that there is a cop ahead of them. It is a courteous gesture in my opinion, and I always do it. It's mostly Polish people that do this though.

sometimes it means "thanks for letting me in" .. never noticed them doing that for blindspot humpers but that makes sense.

oh and i gotta say that i DID NOT cut the trucker off in any way.. it was merging onto the 401 eastbound from mississauga road at 6:15AM.. which if you have ever taken it you know that section goes at about 20kph max right up to hurontario for some stupid reason. 20 meters of space is plenty at that speed, i can't imagine he even had to touch the brakes let alone be in any danger of collision with me. i guess he was just in a bad mood. ah well..

and YES warn people of speed traps ;P damn moneyrakin @#$@#$ hehe

cops like comming on your rear end trying to puss you on the highway to make u go faster, this situation is easly corrected when u slam your breaks.

I had the reverse spot light 4 times on the 401 just outside Valleyfield coming back from Montreal. Had my high beams on but since the highway was divided into two and the grassy median was like the size of a football field, I didn't think that'll effect the drivers on the other side of the highway...boy was I wrong. Plus, my highs at the time was all f**ked up and probly more distracted for other drivers.

I don't know where you get your info from, or what you're referring to but you're sorely mistaken.. thats the only time I've been flashed like that and the incident was in my oldsmobile not the civic.. I only turned the switch one notch instead of 2 not realizing my headlights weren't on..
