help they wanna write off my car!

last week some rich woman decided to run her stop sign and just jump in middle of lawrance ave! so the only thing i could do was watch my car slide in hers! so now the insurance company wants to write my car off! i was just wondering if there is way to get some more money form them while there at it!

i got a brand new paint job before summer! installed key less and alarm, got my whole interior leather! and jvc mp3 player and 4 new pioneer speakers! thats basicly it. it was 93 CX with 170K on it! i have no idia of the fair amount for this car. so if u guys could give me some numbers about that would be great!

this is my first time writing of a car so if anyone has any exprince please come forward!

if they are not going to give you much money for the car you can ask them how much it will be to buy the car after they write it off. sometimes its a cheap enough price that you can salvage what you had on the car and sell what isn't broken for cash too

bro if they dont give u nuff money u can just go and take off all the stuff u installed in ur car and give them the car.
or u can tell them that u wnat to keep the car and they have no choice but too so i am assuming ur lookin roughly around 500 dollars for ur car to get back from insurance

you can try to show them any receive you have got regarding to those stuff you put on your car to the insurance company and ask them to talk about it. However, they may or may not give you back any money on the additional stuff besides the stock vechile. Even if they are nice enough to give some $, it won't be the full amount.

Sounds like it is not your fault in the first place. If you are at no fault, then you should be able to get as much as you can from her insurance.

Sue her if you have to.

I went through this before (early this year) and what they did for me is give me the book market value for the car. They dont give a **** what you have in or on your car even if you have all receipts to prove it. The only way you can get money for them is if you called in before, talked to an underwritter, send the receipts, and have the confermation letter. You can get money for the stereo equipment upto 1500 with the receipts handy. Also, with a new paint job they can give you up to another $1200 depending on how long ago you did it. As for the seats, find the garage and go take it out because that's gonna be a loss for sure. Oh and the longer you wait, the less **** you will find on your car when you go there. GOOD LUCK

Yo have a right to get your stuff from the car, imo. It's your stuff.

When my car was totalled, Lyons (dirty rotten thevies), tried to stop me from getting stuff from my car I said 'screw you' and yanked all my **** off before they put it in their yard.
