help needed asap

ok i'll try to make this short

bought a car cert and etest....cert wasnt really dont just signed papers....garage told me the guy said he was going to keep it so they helped him out......i tell them car needs to be cert or i'm going to ministry........they are mad seeing as its out of his own pocket now, but he says he will fix it......so my dad brings it in yesturday i get it back only to find the rear brakes still arnt working(ebrake) they just adjusted the setting on the handle and put new rotors in the back, fixed the horn but it barely works, fixed my headlight( but now the highbeam light on the cluster stays on all the time)...........also, my paint dirt swirled into it now, rear seat has what looks to be rust worked into it, and there is a load skweaking noise coming from the front wheels when i turn the steering wheel

anyone?? ideas?? help

imported_loudsubz 28-Apr-2005 05:54 PM

well cert should make it safe for the road, I think ebrake has to work for it to certify

id take it back and tell them to fix it or you want ur money back

imported_haymaker 28-Apr-2005 05:56 PM

the guy told me straight up he didnt even look at the car when he did the cert....lights need to work, horn, brakes, tires..........and they were all ****, now i'm stuck with more problems then when it went in and i'm told the skweaking or however you spell it might be a ****ed ball joint????

imported_Dawson 28-Apr-2005 06:02 PM

yeah a squeak sounds like a ****ed ball joint or could be a bushing but go in and tell them to fix it right or they got hell to pay cause they ****ed up

Brett 28-Apr-2005 06:18 PM

seek a second opinion, take the car elsewhere and get it certified there, it sounds like these guys are not interested in doing things properly

imported_haymaker 29-Apr-2005 12:44 AM

the thing is that they certified it but it was no where near safety so they should pay not me.........

and an update i had my friend look at it turns out my said to be "h&r's" are actually cut springs and the squeaking was actually the little peice they cut off the spring stuck inside the spring ****ING AMAZING. turns out my brakes where put back together with care, every bolt stripped, no rubber boots on the sliders, slider clips where made of something else cailpers are seized soild........sooooooooooooooo i'm going to ask for the money to fix them myself or i'm going to the ministry to completely **** them....................either way my engine and tranny are mint still, interiour is amazing, and i will be completely overhauling the bottom side of the car.....stainless brakelines, coilovers, bushings, cailpers, lca's everything.........and this shop will pay

imported_Dawson 29-Apr-2005 12:51 AM

good man do it make them pay cause they ****ed up

imported_haymaker 29-Apr-2005 12:55 AM

like i feel bad cause this place is going to get **** on huge, and i'll probley get shot because of it, but hell i gave them the chance i drove far for them to correct it, they half assed it and now i'm done trying to be nice about it.............little tip dont sell a car certified if it aight, you wont get away with it, like **** those broken spring peices could have done some huge damage to the car or myself

scarlemthug 29-Apr-2005 01:27 AM

honestly the more times u take it back the more ur car will probably get ****ed. Best thing to do is bite the bullet and fix the stuff yourself and report that shop to the ministry and also look into sueing them for the cost to fix the stuff properly.

imported_haymaker 29-Apr-2005 06:49 AM

yea thats what i think its going to come down too

imported_Moe_Mentum 30-Apr-2005 02:08 AM

I am pretty sure your car will qualify under the lemon law! You should really seek justice through the Ministry of Transportation.. Tell them you bought the car certified when it is not. Have the ivestigate the shop. If worse comes to worse you should be able to get a refund on the car. Look it up, or call the ministry of transportation and inquire about it.
