Help me Plz!!
NO I am not selling YET, I am trying to get a rough idea on how much to sell my car for.. I have a 1988 Honda Civic HC.. Not sure on if it is SI or EX or what ever.. Nothing I have tells me.. Uhh the body is not bad.. Bit of surface rust in the usual places.. Wheel wells.. Hatch and so on.. Body has been covered in about a 1/4 of rust proofer so it's kept it alive for the most part.. Uhh car has around 173k on it.. I got it at 152 so i put a few on it but not many.. Uhh.. Few problems (Should I fix or leave these) Right half shaft is almost gone.. Right Tie rod almost gone.. all front breaks are ok but should be changed soon.. Motor, few things, whole engine bay including engin covered in 1/4 of rust proofer, very messy. Cleaned some.. left some.. Engin.. Well its a little old.. Have done oil changes.. Plugs and so on but it is Ideling bad.. Some people say TPS some say bad Cylider.. Did kind of a monkey *** compression test and the #1 cylider was a little low but not much.. O2 second was replaced didn't help so.. Uhh lets see I guess mods.. New Muffer, could use new exhaust but still sounds good.. Umm decals.. HONDA across the front winsheild in white.. Honda symbol in the back also white as seen in pics soon to come Uhh Car has a system, debating selling or with or without.. Sony Explode front speakers (christmas prez.. but they pound), Alpine CD player (Wish it was Mp3), Alpine 500 watt Amp, 2x Apline 12" woofers (Yes these puppies pound hard will put your hair on end) and all the wireing.. Int is Mint... did use seat covers, different floor matts and so on but still have origional floor mats.. Umm.. Small stain on back seat thanks to father.. but could be cleaned I'm sure.. small stain on dash.. idoit friends lol.. Umm first blower setting doesn't work but rest work fine.. Umm Car has an aftermarket Sun roof, no this was not my idea, yes it has been knowin to leak but in the year I have had the car it's only leaked about 4 times.. What else.. Does have 3 internal neons rigger to a switch.. can be removed if needed but their cool.. Care comes with Good summers on the front and mint winters on the back.. Just have em swapped.. Uhh.. Thats about all I can think of for now.. I am just lookin for ballpark offers on it.. I will try to get pics ASAP.. And questions either catch me on MSN (shortys649@hotmail.com) or PM me on here.. It's not to rough.. I mean it's an 88 and it shows lol.. It's seen winter.. It's not 100% but rust is minor surface.. the stuff that is wrong other then the TPS can be done in an hour or 2 so it's no big deal.. Great project car.. Good for ZC or B16 motor swap.. I can have a 1.5 crate engine put in for under 500 but ehh...

1000 or less?? ok I really want some of what you got.. I was offered 1500 as is.. I'm sure I can get that.. I see crap buckets worse then mine going for 1000.. It's in good cond. just needs a few parts. It is saftied.. etested it's all good just needs TPS, Breaks, CV and Tierod which I am going to do befor I sell..

I saw a 1997 Chevy Malubu for $700 as is, no body damage, ran and drove fine. So if you think someone will give you more than a grand for a 1988 Civic, then you're the one smokin sum. I got my 1990 Civic dx for practically nothing. I know Civics are highly valued, but you gotta be realistic. It's a stock 16 year old car.

I recently learned how deceptive autotrader and other car sales sites can be.. Just because you see someone asking 5000 for a car doesn't mean that they actually sell the car even remotely around there..
Like I used to see H22 civics asking like $16K.. I was like holy****, if I could get like 9K for mine I'd be happy. I can't even find someone for $7K. and hell my motor is new, clutch, belts, pump, spark, brakes, everything... The swap alone is worth $6500 without the new parts or the car..

No offence but if I owned a 1997 Chevy Malubu I would be givin it away for 700 also.. I think you might have read the add JUST a little wrong.. AND.. F.Y.I FOR all of you.. Blue book retails the car at $2,345.. Private value listed at 1500 with it's current condition.. SOOOO where ever you get off sayin 1000 or less is beyond me.. Do you people even do your homework.. I mean of corse your gonna try to heckle it down to a lower price but all and all it's a good car.. once I have done the minor repairs it will be good as new.. as is it's etested and cert and it's in pretty good running shape.

personally, I wouldn't pay over 1k for that car, its got problems that are going to have to be delt with soon (you said brakes, exhaust, bad idle, rust, ect.) do some looking on the classifieds and thier archieves, you will see that people have a hard time selling MODIFIED EFs for more than 1500, let alone a stock one that has problems. ........if someone will pay you 1500 jump all over it....oh, if its a Special Edition it means its a DX, if it was an Si you could probably get more for it....
